Happy Belated Thanksgiving everyone! Once again I cooked dinner at my house this year. Ever since I bought my own home I have hosted Thanksgiving dinner. I know most people complain that they hate to cook or to host, but I actually enjoy it. I love to cook, but rarely do it because I hate cooking for one. I did the entire spread, with turkey, stuffing mashed potatoes, sweet potatoes, corn, green bean casserole and even cranberries. My mom made the pumpkin pies and we stuffed ourselves silly. Then we all went out to the theater and saw the new Harry Potter movie.
But now that Thanksgiving is over I am putting up my Christmas decorations and thinking about shopping. Whimper!
Have a Merry Christmas, Happy Hanukah, Joyous Kwanzaa, or Glorious Winter Solstice. Whatever you celebrate, I hope everyone enjoys their holidays and time spent with family.

The Myth of Moonlight is, tah, dah dah dum, DONE, FINISHED, FINITO. This book was originally started right after Lena and I finished Logan’s Temptation. Then, we put it aside to work on Steven’s Salvation and Lily’s Surrender and didn’t get back to it until more recently. This book was literally just finished and still needs to go through edits, re-writes and oh yeah, we still need to find a contract for it, but it is DONE, FINISHED, FINITO. Okay, I’m not excited or anything. LOL.
I have started a new series that I’m attempting on my own (Oh God, no Lena, HELP!). The series is tentatively called The Spinster’s Club. It’s about three single women who work together at the same company who decide they are giving up on men. They are tired of being thought of as man hungry single woman and have decided to start a club for all the “spinsters”. Of course as soon as they officially start their club their love lives start to heat up. Read about the three heroines who will capture your hearts.
Kara Storm is a 38-year-old executive who likes men but doesn’t want to be involved in a relationship. At least that’s what she’s told herself. She usually goes for the older, wealthy, dark-haired type but finds herself falling for Michael Moretti, the 28-year-old bleach blond pool boy. Although he owns the pool company she thinks he is just an employee. Kara decides to have a fling with Michael to scratch an itch because she has been without sex for so long. But Michael is going to take control and show her a thing or two.
Chelsea Riley is a 38-year-old marketing manager who recently broke her engagement with her long time fiancé when she realized that she kept postponing the wedding because she really didn’t trust him. She has reservations to go to her 15-year high school reunion and although she doesn’t really want to go, she decides to contact an old high school boyfriend, Nick Miller, to go with her. They have a great time, but Chelsea considered it a one-time fling. Nick has other plans; plans that include showing Chelsea that she doesn’t want to let go of a good thing twice.
Marissa Weaver is a 35-year-old HR director who worked her way up through the ranks in the company. She’s been in love with Anthony Ravel, the owner of the company, for years. She was originally his secretary, but went back to school at his urging after her divorce. Anthony has been a widower for four years now and is finally ready to get back into the dating game, but treats Marissa more like a friend or sister. After spending a week together at an out of town conference Anthony starts to see Marissa in a different light.
I have just started Kara’s story and there is a mini excerpt at the end of this newsletter.
I am breaking from my tradition of recommending e-books for this recent great read. If you like Sherrilyn Kenyon’s Dark Hunters or Christine Feehan’s Carpathians, you will love J.R. Ward’s Black Dagger Brotherhood series. Check out her cool website at http://www.jrward.com/

Book One
In the shadows of the night in Caldwell, New York, there's a deadly turf war going on between vampires and their slayers. There also exists a secret band of brothers like no other - six vampire warriors, defenders of their race. Among them, none relishes killing their enemies more than Wrath, the leader of the Black Dagger Brotherhood...
The only purebred vampire left on the planet, Wrath has a score to settle with the slayers who murdered his parents centuries ago. But when one of his most trusted fighters is killed- orphaning a half-breed daughter unaware of her heritage or her fate - Wrath must usher the beautiful female into the world of the undead…
Racked by a restlessness in her body that wasn't there before, Beth Randall is helpless against the dangerously sexy man who comes to her at night with shadows in his eyes. His tales of brotherhood and blood frighten her. But his touch ignites a dawning hunger that threatens to consume them both… |

“Damn, he just bent over. His ass is so fine.” Kara was whispering into the phone as she sat on her lounger and stared at the pool boy.“
And just how old is this guy?” Marissa’s call had interrupted Kara’s fantasies about the young stud in her backyard.
“He’s legal. At least I think so. And he is so hot.” Kara had never been attracted to blonds, always considering them washed out and blah. But this guy was gorgeous, with a deep dark tan, sun kissed hair and muscles that showed he worked really hard.
“You should go for it.” Marissa was good at giving advice that she would never follow herself.
“Yeah, right. Go for it. And just what should I do?”
“You’ve got to let him know you’re interested.”
Kara flipped over onto her stomach as she continued the conversation. “Maybe I should just call him over. Hey pool boy, interested in scratching my itch.” Kara murmured in a falsetto voice. Just as she spoke she noticed a shadow over her chair. Shrieking she cocked her head up to see the object of her interest standing above her chair with a huge grin splitting his face. Fuck, just how much had he heard?
