WELCOME

It’s June and I’m wondering where Spring went. It hit ninety degrees here and in Ohio that’s hot. RT was a blast and I’m already missing everyone. Every night was a party and some of the days were too.  I had such a good time I’ve been talked into joining the Fairy Court next year, so check out the RT BookClub magazine in the upcoming months for news about that.

I’m back on the road again, heading to Cincinnati, Ohio on June 1st, 2nd and 3rd for Lori Foster’s Third Annual Reader Writer Get Together.  I have a special surprise for newsletter subscribers, so check out the announcements below.

Speaking of announcements, Lena and I got some great news about one of our stories. Read on for further information. I’ve been sticking to my writing schedule so more stories will be coming your way soon.  Woo Hoo.

REVIEWS

Lena and I received our first ever Five Star rating from Just Erotic Romance Reviews for The Sweetest Taboo.  Here’s a peak at what they had to say.

The Sweetest Taboo is an engrossing and amazing book about a biracial couple and the difficulties and happiness they encounter in a small town. … The unique plot was flawless, with life-like problems being solved reasonably. I have read stories by these authors before and I find Ms. Andrews and Ms. Matthews continue to write beautifully together.”

No good deed goes unpunished and no one knows that better than Cory Turner. While minding her own business in her backyard, she’s invaded by a lost child who can’t find his way home. Cory decides to help, much to the chagrin of her sister. But when she returns him to his oh so attractive father, she’s practically accused of kidnapping the child.

Elias Kohler couldn’t have found a worst way to handle his first meeting with his attractive new neighbor. She rescues his lost son, but instead of thanking her he insults her. The last thing he wants to do is bother her again, but it doesn’t mean he can stop thinking about her. And if only he could keep his son away from Cory’s yard, everything would be fine, but things don’t always go according to plan.

No matter how much they both vow to stay away, fate and circumstance throw them together time and again. But despite both their doubts and misgivings, Elias and Cory are inexplicably drawn to one another, in the bedroom and out.

Cory never expected to find her prince charming in a man with so much baggage, but when his ex-wife decides to do battle, Cory steps up to the plate and fights for the man and the family she has fallen in love with.

Their relationship might still be considered taboo, but it’s the sweetest kind.

Publisher's Note: This book contains explicit sexual content, graphic language, and situations that some readers may find objectionable: light bondage.

WORKS IN PROGRESS

I have just finished a Halloween story and I’m waiting to send it off to see if anyone wants to contract it. Lena and I hope to start work on the third Moonlight book this summer.

NEWS

My story Wounded Hearts, is finished and I can’t wait to see what the readers think.  It will be released from Loose Id on July 3rd.

Lena and I just contracted the Shadow of Moonlight, the second Werewolf story in the Moonlight Series, with Ellora’s Cave.  I loved writing this story of Remy and Jace and as soon as we know a release date we’ll let you know.

As I noted in the introduction, I’ll be attending Lori Foster’s Third Annual Reader Writer Get Together in West Chester, Ohio near Cincinnati. If you’re going to be attending the event, drop me an email at msliz@lizandrews.net. I’ll be bringing some goodies for my newsletter subscribers and I need to know how many to bring.

RECOMMENDED READS

I wasn’t sure if I was going to like this book, but wow, did it win me over.  I especially loved how the author showed the development of their relationship both as young adults and then later in life when they reunite.  And the BDSM elements weren’t too bad either, LOL.

Into His Keeping By Gail Faulkner

She became the air he breathed. Her passionate gift of surrender matched his dominant soul. Then she was gone. He'd never accepted that she'd wanted to leave. Ensuring she could find her way back to him was the drive that shaped him. Fifteen years later it was way past time to accept she'd chosen not to return.

Second chances were wishful thinking. Jill wasn't looking for one. She didn't have time for pipe dreams and she had no illusions about the stranger Holdin had become. Famous, rich and now retired from football, he might not remember her. If he did, he might not care to hear what actually happened so long ago. She desperately hoped she had something he would care about though.

A second chance was all Holdin needed. Ensuring possession of Jill was a battle he intended to win.

EXCERPT

Sitting down abruptly, Patrick took off his boots and socks and pulled his tee shirt off over his head. He was worn out. Sleep had been elusive in the last couple of months and he often had to drive himself to exhaustion to get just a few hours. He was ready to fall into bed and forget the last two days. Forget the sight of Erin lying on this couch, waiting to welcome him home. And forget the sight of pain in her eyes when he told her goodbye.

Patrick stood and walked toward the bedroom, telling himself he only wanted to check on her well-being. He stopped for a moment at the door. Allowing his eyes to adjust to the darkness, he had no trouble seeing Erin curled up asleep in his bed. She’d kicked the covers off and the short nightgown she had on last night was rucked up her legs, exposing her full pale hips to his hot gaze. The tiny matching string bikini she wore barely covered her. Her hands were tucked under her head and with the moon shining into the room he was sure he saw the tracks of tears dried on her face.

Just as he was telling himself to do the right thing and leave her alone, Erin turned onto her back. The material of her nightgown strained across her chest, while her bountiful breasts practically spilled out of the confines. She must have sensed his presence in the room, because she blinked and slowly opened her eyes.

It had been two years since they’d been together and real life was better than fantasy any day. His own hand was no substitute for the lusciousness in front of him. He knew what he should do, what he had to do, but his body and heart were telling him something completely different. This was his woman.

“If you don’t get your ass out of my bed in the next twenty seconds you’re going to find yourself fucked and fucked hard.” His cock straining against his zipper was telling him to take what was presented. Patrick was certain she’d run at his threat, but she remained silent, just staring at him while he continued to gaze at the succulent offering in his bed.

Patrick loosened his pants and pushed them down over his hips. He stood naked before her, his cock standing in anticipation. Without a word, Erin opened her arms. He walked over and joined her on the bed.

“This is only sex.” He wanted to push her away but he couldn’t resist the call of her charms.

“Keep telling yourself that.” Erin reached out and grasped his cock, her soft warm hands stroking him.

Patrick groaned at her touch. He had to keep his head, if only for another minute. “You understand it doesn’t change anything, right?”

“Stop talking and come love me.” Erin released his cock and tugged him down to her.
