I have officially graduated. Woo Hoo. I was the crazy person who worked full time, went to graduate school full time and decided to start writing. So now school is over and I should have plenty of time to write, right? Wrong? I have been super busy at work and everyone I know seems to be moving. My parents, who have lived in the same old Victorian house since 1972 finally decided to move into a little 3-bedroom brick ranch. My mom decided not to pack anything because she “didn’t want to jinx it.” So I have spent the last three weekends, both Saturdays and Sundays, helping to move them. They have 90% of their new house full and 50% of their old house empty. Oh yeah, they have a few things to get rid of. To top it off, my good friend is moving Labor Day Weekend. So I spent Friday night helping to paint my friend’s living room and I will spend next weekend helping her move. Lena has been heard to say that we got more writing done when I was still in school vs. now. So I have started scheduling writing time with Lena for at least four nights a week. I still have no time for my own writing, but hopefully work will settle down soon and I can get more work done. I’ll keep you all updated. LOL.

Steven’s Salvation has released and it really seems to be a hit with the readers. Lena and I really had an affinity for this story, but I must admit I am looking forward to Lily’s Surrender to release. It’s still in edits, so we have no idea when that might be, but it should be this fall.

Even though I haven’t been a steady writer lately, Lena and I have gone back to our werewolf story. We re-worked the first four chapters we had done months ago and I gotta tell you, this story rocks. We have changed the title to The Myth of Moonlight. What is the myth, you ask? Well you’ll just have wait to read the story. We have plans to make this a slightly longer story and we have ideas for a few other characters as well. I just love being a tease. In fact, I think I’ll give you an excerpt, but you’ll have to wait until the end. Hehehe.

Dark Elves 2: Mastered
ISBN: 1-59632-138-5
Author: Jet Mykles
Available at www.loose-id.com

Suzana has lost all she held dear--her family dead at sea, she, a musical mage of noble birth, has been taken by slavers. Alone, bereft, she can do nothing but mourn. But then the traders’ caravan is overtaken in the Dark Forest by the mysterious raedjour who are determined to take the one thing she still calls her own: her body.

Suzana’s capture is cause for celebration amongst the raedjour--virgins are highly prized, and a tournament is held for the honor of taking her maidenhead. And once it is taken, she will be passed to a different warrior every nine days until she finds her truemate.

From the moment he saw her, Krael knew Suzana was his to conquer. Her soft body incites the lust he’s honed over many cycles to pleasure and train women. He’ll have her body, yes, but he has no interest in being her truemate. Until another, Krael’s king, is determined to take her, then Krael grows determined to master her for his very own.

Have you ever wondered what it would be like to be used, pleasured… Mastered?

Since I have been so busy I haven’t had a chance to read anything new, so I am recommending a story I have read in the past. I like both of Dark Elves stories, but I really like the second one a lot. Not only is Jet Mykles the author, she’s also an artist and did all her own covers. These stories have fantastic characters that make you really care for them. She has set up a terrific mystery and I can’t wait to read the next in the series.

Steven’s Salvation has received a Recommended Read from Fallen Angels Reviews. Here’s a quick snippet, but if you click on the link below, you can read the whole review, http://www.fallenangelreviews.com/August2005/SarahW-Redemption_StevensSalvation.htm.

Once again, Liz Andrews and Lena Matthews light up the pages with this intense and provocative romance. … These two authors know how to build suspense and romance into an engrossing story. Steven’s Salvation is not to be missed and once again, these delightful writers deserve Fallen Angel Reviews highest praise, that of a Recommended Read.

The Myth of Moonlight – Unedited Excerpt

For the first time in a long time, Kimberly was one of the first people out of the door. The only thing she wanted was a strong drink, a hot shower and her bed. And not necessarily in that order. Breaking away from the crowd, Kimberly headed towards the rear of the garage, where she’d park her car.

As she neared her white Jeep Liberty, Kimberly felt a strange sense of deja vu. Just like her early dreams, she felt as if someone was watching her. She glanced around, but didn’t see anyone, but that didn’t deter her from slowing down. A familiar scent wafted in the air, the one she had decided today was only in her imagination, but she wasn’t sleeping now, she was wide awake and getting scared.

Deciding she didn’t care if she looked like an idiot, Kimberly began running toward her car. It wasn’t that she was afraid of who was following, well not entirely, but it was hard to control the beast when her adrenaline started pumping. Controlling the beast was one of the main reasons she took yoga, so she could learn how to maintain her calm. The last thing Kimberly needed was to change in front of someone looking for some fast money. Unfortunately her heels were her downfall and she couldn’t run very fast in them without twisting her ankle and falling. Heart racing she stopped, refusing to move a step further. She had to calm down and calm down now, before she gave the security camera’s something good to look at.

The air stilled around her. It was there again like in her dreams, and a feeling more powerful then her fear and her beast combined called to her. Kimberly felt a powerful force directly behind her getting closer and closer. Dropping her bag, she balled her fist and abruptly turned. Coming face to face with not only her dream but with Nico.

Her gasped slipped from her mouth as Nico stepped towards her closing the gap between them. Unexpectedly Kimberly was overwhelmed by the scents and sensations around her. She swayed, reaching out to steady herself. Looking up she realized she had grasped his arm and jerked back. His dark eyes glowed down at her, and his lip tilted up at the side bringing his canine teeth into view. Her eyes widening as she realized not only who he was but also what he was.

“It’s about damn time you’re recognized me,” Nico growled.
